These signs have been ridiculed by road scholars for their lack of an Interstate 129 shield, with I-129 being spelled out instead. From what I saw on this day, however, only the sign at the split of the off-ramp had I-129 spelled out; the other two signs for the interchange had an Interstate 129 shield. (Top and bottom photos taken 8/11/04, middle photo taken 7/13/05)

Speed Limit 70 sign on Interstate 29 South just past Exit 135. The speed limits on most interstate mileage in Iowa increased from 65 to 70 on July 1, 2005, and was a very welcome sight for those like me who thought the 65 mph limit was too low, especially for a state that is as unexciting for the most part as Iowa.
