INTERSTATE 135 Interstate 135 connects Interstate 35 in Wichita to Interstate 70 in Salina. At a length of 95 miles, it is one of the longest three-digit interstates in the country. The interstate was once known as Interstate 35W before it was renumbered. The freeway continues north of Interstate 70 signed as solely U.S. 81. The federal highway duplexes with Interstate 135 for almost its entire length, with the only exception being the first 1/2 mile between Interstate 35 and 47th Street in south Wichita. PICTURES
