DAY EIGHT

19, 2004
This was the day I
said good-bye to Phoenix and began to head toward home. I went as far as
Albuquerque on this day. I started the day by driving Interstate 17 to
Flagstaff, and it was a great, scenic drive. Then I headed east on Interstate 40
for the remainder of the day, and I was back in deserts not long after that.

DAY NINE
SUMMARY
Saturday, March
20, 2004
This was the day I
made it back home. It was the longest day of the trip, with 559 miles of driving
on this day. The only stops I made were for gas and for lunch. Besides that, it
was a race to get home before sundown in Oklahoma City, which I did beat the
sunset by an hour.

Departed Motel 6 (Albuquerque, NM) - 8:06 AM; mile 61,196
Phillips 66 (Moriarty, NM) - Gas - 8:37 AM; mile 61,227

Phillips 66 (Shamrock, TX) - Gas - 2:57 PM; mile 61,580
Arrived Home (Oklahoma City, OK) - 5:40 PM; mile 61,755
