OKRoads -- Interstate 39

Interstate 39 originally connected Interstate 55 in Bloomington, Illinois, to Interstate 90 in Rockford, Illinois. It has been extended northward to Wausau, Wisconsin, where it ends at Wisconsin 29. Almost all of the interstate is multiplexed with another highway, and from Rockford to Portage, Wisconsin, Interstate 39 is part of an interstate triplex that also includes Interstates 90 and 94.
