DELAWARE STATE HIGHWAY
TERMINUS GALLERY & GUIDES

DE 1

Highway Review:
The longest state highway in the state of Delaware (and the second longest highway in the state overall, behind U.S. 13), DE 1 connects the Ocean City and resort areas to Wilmington. The highway is 4-lane, divided highway throughout the state. Just north of the DE 9 intersection, DE 1 becomes a freeway, and remains that way for the rest of its route. It is a toll road between Dover and St. Georges, with a $1 toll charged at toll plazas, with one at Dover and the other at Biddles Corner. To see photos from DE 1 between Dover and Christiana, please see the
DE 1 Turnpike page.
