Interstate 87

Interstate 87 stays in New York throughout its 333-mile journey. It begins at Interstate 278 (the Bruckner Expressway) in New York City and travels north along the Major Deegan Expressway and the New York State Thruway to Interstate 90 in Albany. From there northward, Interstate 87 is known as the Adirondack Northway as it travels near New York's eastern border. Motorist services are limited along Interstate 87 through the Adirondacks between Glens Falls and Plattsburgh, which are separated by 111 miles.
