Interstate 35 North as
the highway prepares to split into two suffixed interstates. The sign gantry at the interchange was not present at the time of this photograph, so these signs were the final warning of the split. Interstate 35W is slightly shorter than Interstate 35E is, and also goes through Fort Worth, where traffic tends to be better than Dallas. Also, Interstate 35W spends a lot more time in rural environs, whereas Interstate 35E is in suburbia or an urban environment from south Dallas to its northern terminus in Denton.
