Interstate 440 connects Interstate 30 in southern Little Rock to Interstate 40 northeast of Arkansas' state capital. At Interstate 40, the highway becomes Arkansas 440 and connects to the U.S. 67 freeway near Jacksonville. Plans are being made to extend the highway to the west, possibly connecting back to Interstate 40 near the Interstate 430 interchange.
