Interstate 74 and Interstate 465 West
Interstate 74 and Interstate 465 West approaching Exit 2A - Northbound East Street - 1 mile, and Exit 2B - U.S. 31 South - 1 1/4 mile. U.S. 31, like every other non-interstate highway in Marion County, does not go inside of Interstate 465. Overall, seven highways (U.S. highways 31, 36, 40, 52, and 421, and state highways 37 and 67) multiplex with some portion of the Indianapolis beltway. The only route signed on the beltway itself are the interstates, but if all the routes were signed, there would be some points of the beltway where eight highways would be on one shield assembly. Imagine the sight of that for a moment... (Photo taken 7/11/05)
