OKRoads.com -- Wisconsin Highway Guides -- U.S. 53

U.S. 53 connects La Crosse, Wisconsin, to International Falls, Minnesota. In Wisconsin, the highway spends some of its time as a freeway connecting Interstate 94 in Eau Claire to WI 48 in Rice Lake. After the freeway ends, U.S. 53 continues as a 4-lane divided highway to Superior. U.S. 53 leaves the state duplexed with Interstate 535 and the two highways enter Duluth, Minnesota.
