Interstate 29 runs close to the Missouri River and the Nebraska border for all of its length in Iowa. The interstate is 151 miles in the state and goes through Council Bluffs and Sioux City. Besides those two cities, there isn't too much along the route in the state.

	Interstate 29 South at Exits 144A-B - Interstate 129/U.S. 20 West/U.S. 75 South - S. Sioux City, and U.S. 20 East/ U.S. 75 North - Ft. Dodge/Le Mars. These signs have been ridiculed by road scholars for their lack of an Interstate 129 shield, with I-129 being spelled out instead. From what I saw on this day, however, only the sign at the split of the off-ramp had I-129 spelled out; the other two signs for the interchange had an Interstate 129 shield. (Photos taken 8/11/04)
