FIELDS TRIP
Interstate 290 Illinois
Interstate 290 connects Chicago's
northwest suburbs directly into downtown Chicago. The highway is
just six to eight lanes for most, if not all, of its length, and
it bottlenecks at all times of the day at Interstate 90/94 (the
Dan Ryan Expressway). On Day Three of the Fields Trip, I had the
privilege of driving Interstate 290 inbound to Chicago, and was
stuck in the traffic approaching the Ryan.

Since I was going
only about 15-25 mph,
it was easy for me to get this shot of Interstate

traffic starts to calm down a little. |
