OKRoads -- Bayous & Blues Roadtrip -- Interstate 35E Texas

Interstate 35E is the eastern segment of Interstate 35 between Hillsboro and Denton, Texas, serving the Dallas area. Interstate 35W serves Fort Worth. Interstate 35E follows the regular Interstate 35 exit numbering in Texas while Interstate 35W has a separate exit numbering system. On the first day of the Bayous & Blues Roadtrip I drove Interstate 35E from Denton to downtown Dallas and Interstate 30.

	Interstate 35E South at Exit 449 - Corporate Dr.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 448B - FM 3040 - Round Grove Rd./Hebron Pkwy.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 448A - TX 121 - Grapevine/McKinney. The airport sign next to the exit tab indicates that TX 121 leads to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 446 - Frankford Rd.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 445B - President George Bush Turnpike East. This section of the turnpike was completed in 2002 and there are stub ends at bridges in this interchange indicating a future extension to the west and south to Interstate 635 and eventually Interstate 30.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 444 - Whitlock Ln./Sandy Lake Rd.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 443B - Belt Line Rd./ Crosby Rd. Dallas is just a couple miles away at this point.

	Interstate 35E South at Exit 440C - Interstate 635 West. The tallest flyover ramp in the distance is the ramp from Interstate 35E South to Interstate 635 East.
	Interstate 35E South at Exit 439 - Royal Ln. We are now in Dallas. Downtown is about ten miles away.

	Interstate 35E South at Exit 434B - Regal Row. Traffic is beginning to increase and the buildings are becoming taller as we approach downtown.

	Interstate 35E South at Exit 433B - Mockingbird Ln./Dallas Love Field Airport. The traffic was backed up for about 1/2 mile for this exit.

	Interstate 35E South at Exit 431 - Motor St. The Dallas skyline is becoming more visible as downtown is just a couple miles away.

	Interstate 35E South at Exit 428E - Commerce St. East/Reunion Blvd. The Mixmaster interchange between Interstates 35E and 30 is just ahead. Unfortunately, I ran out of disk space with this picture, so I didn't get a picture of the Interstate 35E exit to Interstate 30 West.
