SPRING TRAINING 2004 ROADTRIP
Interstate 20 Texas

Interstate 20 connects Interstate 10 in west Texas to Midland, Abilene, Fort Worth, Dallas, Shreveport, Monroe, Vicksburg, Jackson, Birmingham, Atlanta, and Columbia, South Carolina. The highway finds its eastern end at Interstate 95 near Florence, South Carolina. On Day Two of the Spring Training 2004 Roadtrip, I drove Interstate 20 from Interstate 30 west of Fort Worth, Texas, to Interstate 10. This was the final stretch of Interstate 20 that I needed to drive to clinch the interstate.

The Texaco sign is still up, however, to trick motorists into thinking that a gas station does exist! Since I didn't know what lied ahead, and my gas tank was getting oh-so-close to being empty, I made an 18-mile backtrack to Pecos and Exit 40.
