OKRoads.com -- South Texas Roadtrip -- Interstate 45 (Page One)

Interstate 45 connects Galveston and Houston to Dallas along a former U.S. 75 corridor. On Day Three of the South Texas Roadtrip, I drove Interstate 45 from Interstate 10 in downtown Houston to Galveston, then went back north on Interstate 45 from Galveston to Huntsville.

	Interstate 45 South comes to an end as it returns to street-level. This also marks the northbound beginning of TX 87, which is straight ahead.
	This was intended to be a picture of mile marker 0, but instead, I got Tony & Brothers. This marks the official southern terminus of Interstate 45 and TX 87.
	First TX 87 North assurance shield just east of the stoplight. TX 87 runs along the Gulf Coast or close to it for most of its length.
