OKRoads -- Florida Trip -- Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South Carolina

Business Loop Interstate 85 is a former route of Interstate 85 through Spartanburg before the highway was bypassed in the 1990s. The exits are numbered along the route. The road itself is not up to interstate standard, and the interchange with Interstate 585 is a definite example of its substandard nature. On Day Nine of the Florida Trip, I drove all of Business Loop Interstate 85.

	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 7 - Road 191/Bryant Rd.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 6 - SC 9 - Boiling Springs Rd.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South approaching Exits 5B-A - Interstate 585/U.S. 176 - 1 mile.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 5B - U.S. 176 West - Inman.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 5A - Interstate 585/U.S. 176 East - Pine Street/ Downtown. Notice how little space there is to get over for this exit! The ramp from Interstate 585 West to Bus. Loop I-85 South merges on here, and the other loop ramp is at the yellow advisory sign.
	And once you take the Interstate 585 exit, you have to go to the right again to avoid getting on the frontage road. I can see why this has been bypassed!
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 4B - SC 56 - Asheville Hwy. This was taken from the frontage road because the ramp from U.S. 176 East to Bus. Loop I-85 South does not directly connect to the business loop! It dumps you onto this frontage road, then there's a tricky traffic circle just ahead. After that, you can finally get on the freeway!

	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South approaching Exits 2B-A - Interstate 26 - 1 1/4 miles.
	Bus. loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 2C - Road 525/Fairforest Rd.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South approaching Exits 2B-A - 1/4 mile.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 2B - Interstate 26 West - Asheville.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 2A - Interstate 26 East - Columbia.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South at Exit 1 - Road 41/N. Blackstock Rd.
	Bus. Loop Interstate 85 South comes to an end as it prepares to merge onto Interstate 85. That interstate's mile markers take over the exit numbering as Exit 68 for SC 129 - Greer departs. Interstate 85 crosses over the Business Loop just ahead.
