OKRoads -- Florida Trip -- Interstate 44 Oklahoma

Interstate 44 connects Wichita Falls, Texas to St. Louis, Missouri, via Lawton, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Joplin, and Springfield. On Day One of the Florida Trip, I drove Interstate 44 from Oklahoma City to Wichita Falls.

	Interstate 44 West at Exit 107 - U.S. 62 West/U.S. 277 South - Newcastle/Blanchard.
	Interstate 44 West at unmarked Exit 99B - OK 4 - Tuttle/Mustang/Yukon.
	Interstate 44 West at unmarked Exit 99A - H.E. Bailey Spur - Blanchard/Norman.

	Unlike most other interstate toll plazas in Oklahoma, the PikePass lanes and cash lanes do not split. Only three lanes are in place: the left lane for PikePass, the center lane for coins only, and the right lane for bills.

	Almost 20 miles to the north of the Lawton Airport, this LGS indicates that Exit 33 is used to get there. But notice the background. Yes, those are mountains in Oklahoma! The Wichita Mountains provide a different view than most Oklahoma interstates can offer.

	Interstate 44 West at Exit 40C - Gate 2. The Fort Sill gate has actually been closed, but the exit ramps are still open.

	Interstate 44 West at Exit 39A - Cache Rd./ Business District.
	Interstate 44 West at Exit 39B - Business U.S. 281 - Lawton.
	Interstate 44 West at Exit 37 - Gore Blvd.
	Interstate 44 West at Exit 36B - Lee Blvd. The extra green space once said "OK 7 West" before the highway was decommissioned west of Interstate 44 in late 2002.
	Interstate 44 West at Exit 36A - OK 7 East - Duncan.
	Interstate 44 West at Exit 33 - Business U.S. 281 - 11th St.
	Interstate 44 West at Exit 30 - OK 36 - Geronimo/Faxon. This is where the southern section of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike begins.
