FLORIDA TRIP
U.S. 287 Texas

U.S. 287 begins at TX 87 in Port Arthur, Texas and goes to U.S. 89 in Choteau, Montana. Between Fort Worth and Amarillo, the highway is 4-laned, and provides the most direct route from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to Wichita Falls and the Texas panhandle. On Day One of the Florida Trip, I drove U.S. 287 from Wichita Falls to Interstate 35W in Fort Worth.

	U.S. 281/U.S. 287 South/U.S. 82 East approaching the split of U.S. 281 from this freeway. This viaduct was built just a couple years ago and connected the end of Interstate 44 to the U.S. 281 and U.S. 287 freeways.
