DELAWARE TRIP
Interstate 97 Maryland
At a distance of just 17 miles, Interstate 97 is the shortest two-digit interstate in the country. It is also the only two-digit interstate to not intersect another two-digit route, and the only one to only head through just one county. (Anne Arundel County) On the fourth day of the Delaware Trip, I drove the whole distance of Interstate 97 in about 15 minutes, the quickest I ever have clinched (and ever will clinch) an interstate in my life!
